One of the fastest-growing and now one of the largest real estate broker companies in Germany, McMakler is a scale-up that was founded in late 2015 to bring one of the services and professions with the lowest reputation in Germany into the digital age and, more importantly, to develop it into a well-respected and appreciated service. In various operations and tech / product roles, I have been able to support a number of teams in their development from start-up-flavored setups into scale-up-worthy, efficient units with clear and aligned goals, responsibilities, and measurable impact on the development of the company and the experience delivered to customers.

Now the largest renewable energy unicorn in Europe, Enpal offers installation of roof-mounted photovoltaic (solar energy) systems as well as heat pumps. Having joined in the very early days, I had the opportunity to contribute to setting up operations, tech / CRM, and sales ops while the company scaled from 30 to over 250 employees.

In my brief time at the company, I gained insight into the inner workings of one of the largest direct-to-consumer pioneers in Europe while managing the entry into the US market and preparing the launch in China. Berlin Brands Group still is one of the most successful players on ebay and Amazon as well as with their own e-commerce sites.

nu3, now part of Shop Apotheke, was one of the first start-up companies in the nutritional supplement space in Germany and Europe. During my time with the company, I helped build the extensive, customer-need-driven and quality-focussed portfolio of own-brand products that is now available not only through direct channels, but also successfully retailed with offline resellers in Germany, France, and Switzerland.
